Netlify

Netlify

Netlify is a popular ADN: Application Delivery Network. Citrix, Verizon, Peloton, Atlassian, Samsung, are just a few of the major brands names deploying PWA applications using Netlify

It provides continuous deployment. When Netlify is notified by GitHub that a Git push to a selected GitHub repo is completed, Netlify builds the PWAs from the shared repo using the Gatsby build command, and then deploys it.

Netlify has everything needed for deploying PWAs

  • Continuous delivery to the ADN
  • DNS
  • HTTPS
  • Staging environments
  • Pre-rendering
  • Access control
  • Asset post processing
  • etc..

The Netlify automated workflow includes

  • Atomic deploys
  • Cache invalidation
  • Unlimited snapshots and rollbacks
  • Custom headers
  • Proxy and redirect rules
  • DNS management

    • Custom Domains
    • Branch subdomains
    • Netlify offers the option to handle DNS management that enables advanced subdomain automation and deployment features, and ensures that sites uses Netlify APN for the root domain as well as subdomains.

Netlify comes with built-in form handling. The build bots do it by parsing HTML files directly at deploy time, so there’s no need to make an API call or include extra JavaScript on a site.

Netlify has several built-in notification options for form submissions, including email and Slack notifications.
